PRELIMINARY APPLICATION TO HOST AN RKC SANCTIONED SHOW
All hosts MUST COMPLETE a PRELIMINARY APPLICATION to host a Remy Kennel Club sanctioned event. After it is approved the applicant will be issued an Event License Number, and the Application Fee ($100.00 +$50.00 each additional show) will be due, to lock-in the applicants date, location and staff. They will then be sent a Formal Application to continue the process. Applicants may NOT begin advertising their event until they have completed the Formal Application and have FINAL approval from the Remy Kennel Club.

The following is just a brief synopsis and partial list of requirements and responsibilities for every Remy Kennel Club sanctioned events. For the full guide see ____________.
Required– Completed Full Application is received within 90 days, no less than 30 days prior to your show.
Required– You must purchase insurance for each event you have and show proof to RKC within 30 days of show date.
Required– You MUST have at least one RKC Representative at your show as well as at least One Senior Judge.
Required– Hotel Accommodations – If rep or judge is driving less than 4 hours away – they should be accommodated for up to 1 night, Driving more than 4 hours or flying ‐ up to two nights and International Travel ‐ up to three nights – set up by host and paid directly to hotel by host
Required– Driving Expense –maximum amount allowed is $.40 per mile. (If airfare is arranged the host must provide method of transportation to and from airport, hotel and event site)
Required– Airfare- Arranged and paid for by host.
Required– Meals ‐ 3 meals per day, host must either provide or pay up to $25 for a full day, and $25 for days of travel. (staff must provide receipts to be reimbursed for food expenses)
Required – The show ring should be constructed of proper material or a clean professional barrier. Caution tape may NOT be used as ring barrier.
Required – If you are planning an outdoor event the show ring must provide shelter from the elements, mainly direct sun.
Required– Show host MUST supply a “WICKET” to measure dogs prior to and/or during the event as needed.
Required ‐ Shows must start on time, shows that do not start on time will be assessed a fee (see fee section). The fee will ONLY be waived if the show was late due to “an act of god”. No show may extend registration for more than 1 hr.
Required– To have a Master of Ceremonies (MC) or staff to announce ring calls promptly as to not delay the flow of the show, via PA System or Mega Phone.
Required– The show host needs to provide sufficient staffing for the registration table for event related questions or concerns including funshows. This is not the RKC’s or the RKC Representatives responsibility.

$20.00- 1st Late fee. $20.00 per RKC Licensee, for 30 minute extension. Due at the advertised time if host wishes for registration to remain open.
$30.00- 2nd Late fee. $30.00 per RKC Licensee, for 30 additional minute extension. Due immediately at the close of the previous 30 minute extension if host wishes for registration to remain open.
Election of Breeds: A host may elect any or all three of the following: The American Bully, The American Pit Bull Terrier, and/or The American Pit Bull Terrier Classic. Each as a list of MANDATORY CLASSES that must be held for ALL RKC Sanctioned shows.
American Bully Varieties: Mandatory classes/varieties if elected-
Standard: 3-6 mths, 6-9mths, 9-12 mths, 1-2 yrs, 2-3 yrs, 3 yrs & up
Classic: 1-2, 2-3, 3 yrs & up
Pocket: 1-2, 2-3, 3 yrs & up
XL: 1-2, 2-3, 3 yrs & up

American Pit Bull Terrier: Mandatory classes if elected-

Best In Show- Recommended if you have elected to do more than one breed, but not required.
Junior Handlers: Optional
Ankle Bitters Division 2-5 years. Every child will get a participation ribbon(award)
Pee Wee Division- Ages 6-8 years- 1st, 2nd, 3rd place will be awarded along with everyone receiving a participation ribbon
Jr Showmanship Novice- Ages 9-12 years- 1st, 2nd, 3rd place will be awarded
Jr Showmanship Open- Ages 9-12 years- 1st, 2nd, 3rd place will be awarded
Sr Showmanship Novice- Ages 13-16years- 1st, 2nd, 3rd place will be awarded
